Information about parking permits
Sedbergh Parish Council manages the Pay & Display car parks at Joss Lane and Loftus Hill. Each car park additional hosts two electric vehicle charging bays (fast charging 22KWh) – fees apply.
Residents, and owners of holiday lets, in the LA10 district, Middleton or Killington can purchase annual parking permits. A residents permit is valid for a specified vehicle, a permit for a holiday let is for a specified property.
Permits are valid for 12 month periods starting from 1st September each year. The current charges are:
- Residents full year from 1st September to 31 August £70
- Residents part year from 1st April to 31 August £35
- Replacement permit for change of vehicle, no charge
- Holiday lets for full year £120
Persons requiring a parking permit should download and complete an application form and take it to the Sedbergh Information Centre at 72 Main Street. Payment can be made in the Information Centre by cash or card. Applications for permits for holiday lets should also be accompanied with a duly completed copy of the ‘Holiday Let’ form.
